Do you wear a fitness tracker (or multiple)? While I’ve been wearing them for over a decade, I’ve learned that it’s important to identify what you want to get out of wearing a fitness tracker. Do you need a fitness tracker to be healthy? Absolutely not!

  1. Meh I use it to make sure I get some moves in while I work in insurance. Otherwise I’d be on my butt entirely too much πŸ˜‚

  2. The world is spying on you regardless what gizmo you have. I am not concerned about that at all. The fitness trackers are a godsend to ensure you are getting enough cardio through the day, with little downside. Obsessing over the data seems like a you issue tbh.

  3. Rings I could care less about. I’m Intrinsically motivated but the data helps me understand my body more as a whole at least with Garmin. I’m understanding how sleep affects my training load for the day, lactate threshold, seeing how my heart is being more efficient from the workouts I’ve done. It helps me out a lot but even if I didn’t have my watch I’d still work out. I started my running journey for 3 years with no tracker.
